John 6:37 Meaning All Those Whom the Father Gives Me

All those whom the Father gives me will come to me. He who comes to me I will in no way throw out.

What does John 6:37 mean?

Every part of the mind belongs to love and cannot finally be lost to it, for what the Source gives is drawn home as surely as a stream returns to the sea. And the one who arrives is never turned away; love has no power to reject, because rejection is the ego's act and not its own.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

Every part of the mind belongs to love and cannot finally be lost to it, for what the Source gives is drawn home as surely as a stream returns to the sea. And the one who arrives is never turned away; love has no power to reject, because rejection is the ego's act and not its own.

The ego lives in fear of being cast out, and so it casts others out first, making a world of the excluded and the condemned. But the awakened teacher refuses no one who comes, for it knows there is no one outside the whole. A mind that fears it may be turned away can rest at last, because the love it approaches has never in its nature said no.

Live John 6:37 today

  1. Think of a part of yourself you keep off the record, the anger, the envy, the fear you would not say out loud. Let it come in and sit with you instead of being shoved back out.
  2. Reply today to the person whose message you have been quietly letting sit. Not a long reply, just the one that says you are not shutting a door on them.
  3. When someone in a group chat or a meeting says the thing that makes everyone wince, do not pile on, and do not go silent either. Stay in the conversation with them.

Who have I quietly put outside, and what would it cost me to let them back in?
