John 6:38 Meaning For I Have Come Down From Heaven
For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me.

John 6:38 · World English Bible
For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me.
The awakened self within the mind wants nothing of its own apart from its Source, and this is not surrender to a stranger but the ending of the split that made a separate will seem possible. Where the mind is joined, there are no longer two wills contending, only one purpose gently carried out.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
The awakened self within the mind wants nothing of its own apart from its Source, and this is not surrender to a stranger but the ending of the split that made a separate will seem possible. Where the mind is joined, there are no longer two wills contending, only one purpose gently carried out.
The ego is the belief that the mind has an aim opposed to love, a private will it must defend against God. Yet a will divided from its Source was never real, only imagined in the dream of separation. A mind that lets its wanting rest in the one Will discovers it has lost nothing, for what it laid down was only conflict, and what it kept was peace.

MANIFESTATION
Heaven is not a place overhead but the state a person occupies in consciousness. Coming down from it is awareness taking on a condition to work it out into fact. The sender and the sent are one being playing two offices. The I AM is the source, and the same I AM enters a state to fulfill it. The will served is the wish the person has assumed and accepted as so. Not a foreign command, but the accepted end drawing its own means.
A person who assumes a state and stops steering by his old preferences is living this. He has come down into the wish and let it accomplish itself. The lesser office, the sent, does nothing on its own. It carries out the one intention the source has settled on. So the whole life bends toward the assumed state, because that is the will being done. The end was chosen first.
Christian Psychology lens
What am I still defending, and what would I have left if I let that defense go?
Do not demand that things happen as you want. Want them as they happen, and the fight inside you stops.
The swimmer in the rapids does not survive by fighting the current. He goes in with it and comes out alive, because he stopped having a plan of his own.
Act fully, and release your grip on the outcome. What you lay down is not your life, only the strain of needing it to go your way.
