John 6:54 Meaning He Who Eats My Flesh and Drinks

He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.

What does John 6:54 mean?

Eating the flesh and drinking the blood is not a rite performed with bread and cup. It is the complete taking-in of revealed truth until it becomes your own substance, until the idea that imagination is God is no longer something believed about but something lived from.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

Eating the flesh and drinking the blood is not a rite performed with bread and cup. It is the complete taking-in of revealed truth until it becomes your own substance, until the idea that imagination is God is no longer something believed about but something lived from. To eat a thing is to make it yours through and through, past the point of separation. That total acceptance is what carries the deathless life.

The blood is the inner conviction, the felt life of the assumption running in you. When a person absorbs the desired state that fully, he has already crossed into it. The raising up at the last day is not a calendar event far off. The last day is the final moment of any state a person occupies, and he is lifted out of it into the fulfilled one he has consumed. What you take wholly into yourself, you rise into.

ESOTERIC

Esoteric

Flesh and blood are not a meal but the substance and the life-current of the Christ state taken inward. To eat the flesh is to absorb the awakened body-consciousness into your own tissue until it becomes you, and to drink the blood is to draw the living force that runs in that consciousness up through your own veins. This is the union spoken of everywhere: the higher self is not adored at a distance but assimilated, made one with the cells and the breath.

The last day is the final stage of this inner work, when the whole of a person has been raised out of the lower nature. Eternal life belongs to the one who has taken the divine substance so completely into the body that death has no more grip.

Flesh: the substance of the awakened Christ-consciousness taken inward until it becomes the person's own body Blood: the living force that flows in that consciousness, drawn up through a person's own veins The last day: the final stage of inner unfolding when the whole nature is lifted out of the lower self

Live John 6:54 today

  1. Take the state you want past the point of debating it. Today, when the mind opens the question again, do not reargue it, just return to living from it.
  2. When someone offers you the familiar role you have outgrown, the complainer, the one who never follows through, do not step into it to keep the peace. Answer as the person you have actually become.
  3. When something ends today, a job, a routine, a version of your week, let it end without clawing at it. The close of the old state is the moment the new one stands up.

What old state of mine is ending right now that I keep trying to keep alive?

The teachers point past ritual to direct realization. Ceremonies around a truth are not the truth, and bowing to it is not the same as being it.

Tao Te Ching 23

Identify with the Tao and you become it. What you join yourself to completely is what you rise into.

He says to die before you die. The old state must end for the new one to stand up in your life, and the ending is not a disaster, it is the lifting.
