John 9:1 Meaning As He Passed by
As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth.

John 9:1 · World English Bible
As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth.
The man is the mind, and blindness from birth is the condition of every person who enters the flesh unaware of the inner light, the spiritual eye shut from the beginning of bodily life. The higher awareness passing by and seeing this is the Christ mind, awakened through stillness, turning its attention to the faculty that has never yet perceived.

ESOTERIC
The man is the mind, and blindness from birth is the condition of every person who enters the flesh unaware of the inner light, the spiritual eye shut from the beginning of bodily life. The higher awareness passing by and seeing this is the Christ mind, awakened through stillness, turning its attention to the faculty that has never yet perceived. Sight was not lost through fault; it was simply never opened, the way a newborn faculty waits in the dark for the light it has always been capable of.
What is described is the ordinary starting place of a human being, the reasoning mind born into the body with its inner eye closed, waiting for the awakened awareness to open it from within.
man: the reasoning mind of a person, the faculty that must learn to see blind from his birth: the inner eye shut from the start of bodily life, unawakened rather than damaged
Esoteric lens
What have I been calling blindness in someone when it was only morning for them?
Everyone starts out sleepwalking, and nobody is being punished for it. Awakening is simply opening the eye that was always there.
Ignorance is not a crime. It is the ordinary beginning, like a room in the dark that only needs a lamp carried into it.
You have an eye that has never been used. All your life it has been waiting for light it was made to receive.
