Luke 1:47 · World English Bible
My spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior,
A rejoicing exists that nothing has to cause. Circumstance brings gladness that fades when circumstance turns, while this joy rises from an aliveness already whole before any good news arrives.
From the Ego v. Being reading below.
The same verse, read by one tradition.

EGO & BEING
A rejoicing exists that nothing has to cause. Circumstance brings gladness that fades when circumstance turns, while this joy rises from an aliveness already whole before any good news arrives. It wells up in her during a simple greeting, needing no reason outside itself.
Such joy does not stay inside her. It turns outward and speaks, the presence in a person greeting the presence that gave it. Rescue from trouble is not what moves her; recognition moves her, and she finds she was never separate from the one recognized.
Ego v. Being lens
Where am I keeping my joy on hold until something finally goes my way?
Chuang Tzu speaks of a gladness that does not depend on gain or loss, since the one who is at home in the Way is cheerful whether fortune comes or goes. The joy is in the being, not in the news.
The practice of sympathetic joy is a gladness that needs no event of your own to set it off. It is warmth already present in you, and it widens the moment it is given room.
The deepest layer of a person is described as sheer bliss, not a feeling that visits but the ground underneath all feelings. Touching it, you are touching what you are made of.
