What does Luke 11:2 mean?

To pray this way is to remember where reality begins. The mind that turns toward its Source is not asking for a distant favor but recovering what it never lost, the certainty that it is held by a Love that does not change.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

To pray this way is to remember where reality begins. The mind that turns toward its Source is not asking for a distant favor but recovering what it never lost, the certainty that it is held by a Love that does not change. When it says thy will be done, it is laying down its own small and frightened plans and letting the one Will, which is love, become the only law it obeys.

Heaven is not a place above the clouds but the mind's true condition, whole and undivided. To ask that this be so on earth is to ask that perception be healed until what the mind sees outside matches the peace within. The kingdom does not come from far away; it comes when a mind stops defending its separation and lets its Source be all that it acknowledges.

Father: the Source of the mind, the Love that created it and holds it changelessly, never a figure of judgment but of complete safety. Heaven: the mind's true and undivided condition, the wholeness it has never actually left. Earth: the world of perception, the mirror where the mind's inner choice is shown back to it and can be healed.

EGO & BEING

Ego v. Being

Heaven is not a place above the clouds but the formless dimension within you, the vast inner space of consciousness that is your deepest identity. To hallow that name is to honor the still presence beneath your thoughts, the awareness that was there before you learned your own name.

To say thy will be done is to speak the language of surrender. When you stop resisting what this moment brings and let life move through you without argument, the peace of that inner heaven begins to shape your outer life. This is the kingdom coming on earth: your inner state of acceptance flowing outward into all you do.

Live Luke 11:2 today

  1. Before you open your email or your feed in the morning, take a quiet minute and hand over the day's outcome. You can still plan hard, you just stop gripping.
  2. When a plan with someone falls through, let the first words out of your mouth be fine rather than a complaint. Watch how much of the day that saves.
  3. In traffic, in a delayed flight, in a decision that went against you, stop arguing with what has already happened and give your attention to the next real step.

Do not ask that things happen as you wish. Wish them to happen as they do, and your life will go well.

You have a right to your effort, never to its fruit. Let go of the outcome and the work becomes clean.

The lover's whole prayer is thy will. What looks like surrender is actually coming home to what you belonged to all along.
