What does Luke 11:5 mean?

The friend you go to at midnight is your own awareness of being, the I AM within, and midnight is the darkness where the senses give you nothing to work with. You come with empty hands and ask, and the asking is done in that blackness where reason offers no encouragement.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

The friend you go to at midnight is your own awareness of being, the I AM within, and midnight is the darkness where the senses give you nothing to work with. You come with empty hands and ask, and the asking is done in that blackness where reason offers no encouragement. The friend is never far off; he is the ground of you, the one who answers when you press him.

What wins the loaves is not politeness but shameless persistence, the same brazen returning that the widow uses on the judge. A man knocks and knocks in his imagination, refusing to be embarrassed, refusing to stop, until the assumed thing feels supplied. The state held without letting go becomes the state that opens the door. Bread comes to the one who keeps asking as though the giving were already certain.

  1. Pick the one thing you actually want and, in a quiet minute on your commute or in a grocery line, feel it as already settled. Do it again tonight. Do not ask yourself whether it is working.
  2. Ask someone for the help you have been too proud to ask for. Say it plainly, once, without a long apology around it.
  3. When it is late and nothing looks like it is moving, do not call that proof. That is exactly the hour to hold the thing as done and go to sleep in it.

What have I stopped asking for because I got tired of asking?
