Luke 13:30 · World English Bible
Behold, there are some who are last who will be first, and there are some who are first who will be last.
The mind's ranking of itself is always reversed by love, because the ego measures worth by comparison and love knows nothing of it. What the mind judged lowest in itself, the thought it had shamed and set aside, is the very place healing enters first, while the proud thought that trusted its own standing finds it counts for nothing.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
The mind's ranking of itself is always reversed by love, because the ego measures worth by comparison and love knows nothing of it. What the mind judged lowest in itself, the thought it had shamed and set aside, is the very place healing enters first, while the proud thought that trusted its own standing finds it counts for nothing. This is not a punishment of the high or a reward of the low. It is the collapse of the whole scale of comparison.
Where love looks, there is no first and last, for every mind is equally its child. The reversal simply undoes the ranking the ego made, so that the thought which believed itself least discovers it was never behind, and the thought which believed itself greatest learns there was never a line at all.
The last: the part of the mind it had shamed and set aside, which love welcomes first because it never measured worth by comparison The first: the proud thought that trusted its own standing, which learns its rank was imaginary
Christian Psychology lens
Who have I quietly put at the back of the line, including myself?
The one who does not insist on being first is given a place. What bends is what stays; what stands rigid is broken off.
In the hall, the teacher and the newest student eat from the same bowl. Where there is no ladder, there is nothing to climb.
Rank, title, and the praise of crowds are borrowed costumes. Underneath, the emperor and the servant are made of the same stuff.
