The first word love speaks to a frightened mind is the undoing of the fear itself, for nothing true can begin while the mind still braces for attack. There is no threat in what approaches.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
The first word love speaks to a frightened mind is the undoing of the fear itself, for nothing true can begin while the mind still braces for attack. There is no threat in what approaches. The good news is not a reward earned by the worthy and withheld from the rest; it belongs to every mind without exception, because separation was never real and so no one was ever truly left outside.
Joy of this kind cannot be private. A gift that could be given to one and denied another would still be the ego's currency. This joy is for all, which is the only way anyone could have it at all.
Angel: the thought of God that reaches a mind, the voice of love speaking beneath the noise of fear Good tidings: the recognition that guilt was a mistake and not a crime, the correction offered freely to every mind

Who are you still keeping off the list?
The wish for happiness is sent out with no one left off the list, not the stranger, not the person who hurt you, not yourself. Kept for a chosen few, it stops being that wish at all.
Fear comes from believing we are about to lose something that was ours to keep. See clearly what is actually yours and the bracing stops.
Heaven and earth play no favorites. What is freely given falls on everything alike, with no account kept of who deserved it.
