Luke 2:11 Meaning For There Is Born to You Today

For there is born to you today, in David’s city, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

What does Luke 2:11 mean?

What is born is not a body somewhere far off, but a change of teacher within the mind that hears of it. The savior is the part of the mind that remembers its innocence and can therefore look on everything without fear.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

What is born is not a body somewhere far off, but a change of teacher within the mind that hears of it. The savior is the part of the mind that remembers its innocence and can therefore look on everything without fear. It saves nothing in the world and rearranges nothing outside; it only shows the mind that the danger it feared was a figure in a dream.

This birth is dated to a single day because it is always a present choice. In any moment a mind may set down the teacher of guilt and let the memory of love be born again in it, whole and unharmed.

Saviour: the awakened self within the mind, the presence that looks past the dream to the innocence that was never lost City of David: the mind prepared by longing, the inner place where the memory of love takes root

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

The Saviour born in the city of David is not a distant infant but the awakened power of a man's own imagination. Christ is the name for that power when it wakes and knows itself as the shaper of every circumstance. The city of David is the human skull, the small dark place where this birth happens quietly, without witnesses.

This birth is available now, today, to anyone. The one thing that can save a person from his conditions is the discovery that he was making them all along. Once a man feels imagination as the doer, the helplessness ends. He stops waiting on the world. The power that arranges his life has been born awake in him, and it answers to what he holds within.

Live Luke 2:11 today

  1. Sometime today, pick a plain moment, the kettle boiling, the walk to the car, and start it fresh. Not better than this morning, just no longer carrying it.
  2. Give one person a clean slate before you speak to them, even the one who annoyed you yesterday. Meet whoever is actually in front of you now.
  3. In the middle of a hard day, when you are three bad hours deep, stop and let the day begin again from here. You are allowed to change teachers mid afternoon.

What would you do differently if the day started right now?
