CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

To announce the kingdom and to heal are one function, not two. The kingdom is the truth of what the mind already is, whole and unseparated, and to heal is simply to remind another mind of this. There is nothing to add and nothing to build; there is only a forgetting to undo.

Those who are sent do not carry a cure they invented. They carry a memory, and by holding it steadily for a mind that has forgotten, they let it remember for itself. Sickness is the belief in separation made to seem real in a body, and healing is the gentle correction that this belief was never true.

The sick: the minds that have forgotten their wholeness, the thoughts convinced of separation and waiting to be reminded of the truth.

EGO & BEING

Ego v. Being

Two tasks are given together, as though they were one: to awaken people to the kingdom of God, and to heal. They belong together because presence itself heals. When you are fully present with another, without the mind's judgments and labels, something in them can come to rest.

To point someone toward the awakened state and to make them whole are not separate acts. Much human sickness begins in the endless noise of a mind cut off from the present moment. When presence returns, that inner division begins to close. To share this presence is to heal, because you help another remember the wholeness that was never lost, only forgotten.

Live Luke 9:2 today

  1. Before you fix anything about yourself today, sit for a minute without your phone and let the idea settle that nothing has to be added to you. You are not a project.
  2. When someone you love is low, resist the urge to coach them. Stay near, remind them of who they actually are, and let them find their own footing.
  3. In a meeting where someone is being talked about as a problem, hold a different picture of them in your head and speak from that. One person refusing the small story changes the room.

Who in my life needs reminding, not fixing?

A teacher cannot hand you anything you lack. The whole work is to point until you see the face you already had before you were born.

The sage does not give the student a new self, he says only "you are that" until the student stops looking elsewhere.
