Luke 9:22 Meaning Saying

saying, “The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and the third day be raised up.”

What does Luke 9:22 mean?

The awakened Self, appearing within a world built by fear, will seem to be refused and condemned by every authority that world has set up, for the ego cannot tolerate what exposes it as nothing. What looks like defeat, the rejection and the killing, is only the dream showing what it always does to innocence when guilt is in charge.

None of it touches what the Self actually is.

The rising afterward is the correction. The mind discovers that what fear seemed to destroy was never harmed, because it was never a body and death was never real. To be raised is not a return from the grave but the recognition that the grave held nothing, and this is the truth the mind was always meant to reach after the appearance of loss had run its course.

Son of man: the awakened Self as it appears within the world of separation, seeming vulnerable yet untouched beneath the appearance Elders: the entrenched beliefs of the mind that judge and condemn, the old authority of fear that rejects what it cannot control Chief priests: the ego's claim to hold the sacred, the part of the mind that guards guilt in the name of what is holy Scribes: the mind's habit of citing rules and precedents to justify condemnation, fear dressed as knowledge
