Mark 1:1 Meaning The Beginning of the Good News

The beginning of the Good News of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

What does Mark 1:1 mean?

Gospel means good news, and the good news is that the creative power called Jesus Christ is your own human imagination, the maker of your world. This power is named the Son of God because it is the very image and offspring of the power that dreams all things.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

Gospel means good news, and the good news is that the creative power called Jesus Christ is your own human imagination, the maker of your world. This power is named the Son of God because it is the very image and offspring of the power that dreams all things. It unfolds now within the reader, not recorded once in the distant past.

The beginning spoken of is not a date in history but the turning point in a person. It is the radical change of mind that stops looking for a Christ somewhere outside and finds him as the imagining self within. A person's own story starts here. When he grasps that the power he had placed in the sky is his own imagination, the account of his awakening has begun.

Live Mark 1:1 today

  1. Sometime today, probably while scrolling, catch yourself hoping something out there will finally change how you feel. Put the phone face down for a minute and sit with the simple fact that whatever you imagine, you are the one imagining it.
  2. With one person today, in the kitchen or on a call, try picturing them the way you would want them to be rather than rehearsing your usual read on them. Keep it to yourself and just hold that picture while you talk.
  3. When something goes wrong at work and you feel the urge to wait for someone else to fix it, pause before the email or the message. Decide first what you want the outcome to feel like, then write from there.

What would change today if the power you keep waiting on turned out to be your own imagining?

Upanishads

The self you have been calling small, hidden behind your own eyes, is the same reality that holds the whole universe. Learning that is not new information, it is the start of a different life.

Zen

All the searching outside ends the day you turn and look at what is doing the searching. The teachers call this the real beginning, not the end.
