Mark 1:15 Meaning And Saying

and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and God’s Kingdom is at hand! Repent, and believe in the Good News.”

What does Mark 1:15 mean?

The kingdom being at hand means love is not far off in a coming age but present now, near as the mind's own next thought, waiting only to be chosen. To repent is not to grovel but to change the mind, to turn from the teacher of fear toward the teacher already here, and the time is fulfilled because there was never any real waiting, only a mind delaying its own homecoming.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

The kingdom being at hand means love is not far off in a coming age but present now, near as the mind's own next thought, waiting only to be chosen. To repent is not to grovel but to change the mind, to turn from the teacher of fear toward the teacher already here, and the time is fulfilled because there was never any real waiting, only a mind delaying its own homecoming. Belief in the good news is simply the willingness to accept that this is true.

So the fullness of time is the recognition that the moment of choice is always this one. A mind stops postponing peace when it sees that what it longed for has been standing at the door the whole time.

EGO & BEING

Ego v. Being

The kingdom announced is no place to travel to and no date to wait for. At hand means available now, the instant attention stops feeding the mind's commentary and rests in what is here.

Repentance, at root, is the turning of attention away from the compulsive stream of past and future thought. The turning has a direction. Something has been announced as already accomplished, and trusting that announcement is what makes the turn possible rather than another effort of will. Each return from thought opens it again.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

The time being fulfilled means the hour of waiting is over. The power to remake a life waits within present awareness, near as breath, ready the moment attention turns inward. No heaven to come holds it. That nearness is the whole announcement.

Repent means a turning of the mind, nothing to do with guilt. The word marks the swing from dwelling on what is to dwelling on what is wished, the deliberate shift into the feeling of the answer already given. To believe the good news is to accept that inner state as settled fact. Consciousness is the one reality behind every appearance. The mind a person occupies becomes the world he walks through.

Live Mark 1:15 today

  1. Sometime today, when you catch yourself waiting for the week to calm down before you feel okay, stop and let the waiting go. Nothing has to change first.
  2. In a conversation where you are quietly bracing for the worst, pick the kinder reading of the other person instead. You can change your mind about them mid-sentence.
  3. When the email or the message lands and your chest tightens, put the phone down for one breath and choose again before you type. The calm is not after the problem is solved, it is available right there.

You do not need to wait for better conditions to be at peace. The power to turn your mind is yours in this breath, and no one can delay it but you.
