The mountain is any obstacle the mind has made and then called immovable, a grievance so solid it seems to be part of the landscape of the world. Yet nothing the mind has built is stronger than the mind that built it, and what was raised by belief can be lowered by a change of belief. Doubt is the ego's only defense, the whisper that the barrier is real and permanent. Where that whisper is not heeded, the obstacle dissolves, for it was never anything but a thought held firmly in place. The sea receives it and it is gone, not by force but by the withdrawal of the faith that kept it standing.
A mind wholly certain of love meets no mountains, because it has stopped manufacturing them.
Mountain: an obstacle the mind has made and declared unchangeable, a grievance grown so heavy it appears to be a fixed feature of reality
Sea: the depth into which every made-up barrier sinks once the mind stops believing in it, the return of an illusion to the nothing it came from
