Mark 12:6 Meaning Therefore Still Having One
Therefore still having one, his beloved son, he sent him last to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’

Mark 12:6 · World English Bible
Therefore still having one, his beloved son, he sent him last to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’
When every gentler reminder has been refused, love offers the last and nearest thing it has, the very image of itself. The beloved son is not another messenger about the truth but the truth's own likeness, sent in the trust that a mind cannot forever attack what it recognizes as its own reality.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
When every gentler reminder has been refused, love offers the last and nearest thing it has, the very image of itself. The beloved son is not another messenger about the truth but the truth's own likeness, sent in the trust that a mind cannot forever attack what it recognizes as its own reality. Love expects to be reverenced because at heart the mind still knows him.
This is the deepest reaching of love toward a mind asleep in fear. It withholds nothing, gives its dearest, and waits without defense, certain that innocence carries a light the closed mind will finally have to see.
Son: the very likeness of love sent into the mind, the innocent Self that fear is trusted at last to recognize Husbandmen: the guarded mind love still hopes will honor what it has so long refused

What keeps showing up undefended in my life, asking only to be recognized?
What you are searching for has been standing beside you, unarmed, the whole time. You will know it when you stop reaching past it.
You cannot be given what you already carry; you can only be shown it. The teacher arrives empty-handed on purpose.
That which you are seeking, you already are. The whole search ends in recognition, not acquisition.
