The mocking voice inside measures salvation by the body and so misses it entirely. It taunts that one who healed others cannot rescue himself, as if rescue meant escaping the cross and preserving the flesh.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
The mocking voice inside measures salvation by the body and so misses it entirely. It taunts that one who healed others cannot rescue himself, as if rescue meant escaping the cross and preserving the flesh. But the salvation love offers was never the saving of a body; it is the release of the mind from the belief in guilt, and that release cannot be shown by climbing down from suffering.
So the ego's scorn is built on a misunderstanding it cannot see past. It assumes that power means self-protection and that failure to defend the body proves the whole teaching false. What it calls defeat is in truth the demonstration that the body was never the self, and that nothing done to it can touch the innocence within.
Chief priests: the part of the mind that mocks, measuring salvation by the body it cannot see beyond Scribes: the reasoning that joins the mockery, certain that safety means defending the flesh Jesus: the innocence whose refusal to save the body reveals that it was never the body at all
Christian Psychology lens
If my body is not the part of me that can be saved, what is?
Weapons cannot cut what you actually are, fire cannot burn it, water cannot wet it. What dies was never the part worth defending.
You are not the body, which anyone can seize or harm. You are the part that chooses, and nobody can reach that without your permission.
The body shifts and wears out like a borrowed coat. To mistake the coat for the one wearing it is the whole confusion.
