Mark 16:19 Meaning So Then the Lord

So then the Lord, after he had spoken to them, was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.

What does Mark 16:19 mean?

The rising into heaven is the higher self within a person ascending to the crown, the awakened consciousness lifted to its highest station in the head once its work through the lower faculties is finished. Heaven is not a place above the sky but the elevated state at the top of the being, the region of pure awareness the inner Christ returns to when it is fully raised.

To sit at the right hand is to take the seat of governing power, the side of conscious will and rightful command. The higher self, having spoken through the whole nature, settles into rule at the summit, established and at rest in the place of authority within.

Live Mark 16:19 today

  1. When you finish something today, actually stop. Do not roll straight into the next thing. Sit with it being done for a minute.
  2. In a conversation where you could keep making your case, let it rest once you have said the true thing. Silence after a good sentence is not weakness.
  3. When everything is loud, find the part of you that is watching it all and stand there for a moment. From that seat the day is smaller than it feels.

What have I already finished that I keep refusing to set down?

Taoism · Tao Te Ching

When the work is done, step back. That is the way of heaven, and the stepping back is part of the work, not a break from it.

Stoicism · Marcus Aurelius

The ruling part of you, once it is truly in charge, is a citadel. Nothing outside can take that seat.

Hinduism · Upanishads

Two birds sit in the same tree. One eats the fruit, the other watches in stillness. The watcher is the higher seat, and it is in you already.
