Mark 3:14 · World English Bible
He appointed twelve, that they might be with him, and that he might send them out to preach,
Love does not gather companions to complete itself, for it is already whole. It draws them close first only that they may learn what they are by being with what they are, and being restored to the memory of their own innocence.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
Love does not gather companions to complete itself, for it is already whole. It draws them close first only that they may learn what they are by being with what they are, and being restored to the memory of their own innocence. To be with love is the whole of the teaching, and everything sent outward afterward flows from that quiet remembering.
What the mind receives it must extend, or it has not truly received it. Those drawn near are sent out again, not to add anything to the world, but to carry the single message that fear was never true.
The twelve: the parts of one mind called into wholeness, gathered to remember and then to extend what they remember
Christian Psychology lens
Am I trying to give from what I have, or from what I have not let myself receive?
The student learns far more from sweeping the yard beside the teacher than from any answer given. Being near the thing transmits what talking about it cannot.
Act from what you already are, not to earn it. The work is the overflow of the steady self, never the price paid for it.
Sit with those who have found what you want and let their presence do the teaching. A lamp lights another lamp without spending itself.
