Mark 3:15 Meaning And to Have Authority to Heal Sicknesses

and to have authority to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons:

What does Mark 3:15 mean?

The power given is never a power over anything, for love needs nothing outside itself to overcome. It is simply the strength that a mind, restored to its right teacher, carries wherever it looks.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

The power given is never a power over anything, for love needs nothing outside itself to overcome. It is simply the strength that a mind, restored to its right teacher, carries wherever it looks. To heal is to see past the appearance of sickness to the wholeness that was never touched, and to cast out fear is to withdraw the belief that gave it a home.

Nothing is added and nothing is fought. The mind that has remembered its innocence lets that remembering fall on every troubled thought it meets, and the trouble, having no reality of its own, simply goes.

Sicknesses: the forms guilt takes when the mind projects its self-attack onto the body Devils: the thoughts of fear that seem to possess the mind until innocence withdraws their welcome

Live Mark 3:15 today

  1. When one worry keeps looping today, stop arguing with it and simply stop feeding it, go make tea, get outside, start the task. Thoughts starve without your attention.
  2. With a friend who is spiralling, resist the urge to fix them and just hold steady and hear them out. Your calm is the help, not your solution.
  3. When someone sends a sharp message or snaps at you, picture the version of them that is just tired and scared, and answer that one. You lose nothing by not treating it as an attack.

Where am I pushing hard, when what the moment actually needs is for me to stop pushing?

Water overcomes stone without striking it, by yielding and staying. The softest thing wears away the hardest because it never fights.

Buddhism

The real strength is in seeing clearly, not in forcing. When the mind stops feeding a thought, the thought has nothing left to stand on.

Stoicism · Marcus Aurelius

Your mind takes the shape of what it rests on, and that shape is yours to choose. You do not conquer trouble, you decline to call it one.
