Mark 4:20 Meaning Those Which Were Sown on the Good

Those which were sown on the good ground are those who hear the word, and accept it, and bear fruit, some thirty times, some sixty times, and some one hundred times.

What does Mark 4:20 mean?

The good ground is a mind that not only hears the truth but welcomes it, offering no resistance for the thought of love to sink deep and take hold. Nothing was added to the seed; the difference is only in the receiving, in a mind that has stopped defending its guilt long enough to let the correction grow.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

The good ground is a mind that not only hears the truth but welcomes it, offering no resistance for the thought of love to sink deep and take hold. Nothing was added to the seed; the difference is only in the receiving, in a mind that has stopped defending its guilt long enough to let the correction grow. What such a mind lets in does not stay a private comfort but extends itself outward, multiplying, because love given room can only increase.

The differing yields are not a ranking of who is worthier, for the same word bears in each the harvest that mind will allow. A thought of love, once truly received, does not remain the small thing it entered as, but returns to the mind many times over as proof that giving and increase are one.

Good ground: the open, undefended mind that receives the word and lets it grow, holding nothing back against its healing. Fruit: the extension of love that follows when truth is welcomed, multiplying outward because what is given in love only increases.
