Matthew 11:5 Meaning The Blind Receive Their Sight
the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.

Matthew 11:5 · World English Bible
the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.
Every affliction named here is one perception restored, for blindness, lameness, and deafness are the mind's own refusals rather than conditions of the body. A mind taught by fear cannot see innocence, cannot move toward its brother, cannot hear the one Voice that would comfort it.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
Every affliction named here is one perception restored, for blindness, lameness, and deafness are the mind's own refusals rather than conditions of the body. A mind taught by fear cannot see innocence, cannot move toward its brother, cannot hear the one Voice that would comfort it. When the teacher is changed from fear to love, sight and hearing and movement return together, because they were never gone, only turned away from the light.
This is what the miracle does. It does not repair the world but lifts the veil the mind laid over it, so that what seemed dead is simply seen to be alive.
Blind, lame, deaf, leprous, dead: the many faces of a mind that has closed itself against love, each a single refusal to see, to move, to hear, to touch, or to live. Poor: the mind that believes itself empty and starved for worth, the very one to whom the gift of its own wholeness is first announced.

EGO & BEING
A person comes awake in every faculty at once. Eyes that saw only surfaces begin to see. Legs long stalled start to move, skin that shut a man out is made whole, ears open to what was always sounding. Even the inwardly dead are raised, brought back to presence from a life lived entirely in the head.
And the poor, those with nothing to defend and no story to protect, hear the good news first. Emptiness turns out to be the opening. When a person stops clinging to who they thought they were, the deadness lifts, and life pours back into what had gone numb.

ESOTERIC
Each figure here is a faculty of the one person coming awake as the inner light rises. The blind are the powers of sight that could not perceive the life within and now open; the lame are the will that could not carry itself forward and now walks. The lepers are the nature spotted with corruption made clean, and the deaf are the inner ear, shut to the higher voice, now unstopped. The dead are the deadened regions of the self quickened to life, and the poor are the emptied, destitute part of a person into which the good news of its own awakening is spoken. One consciousness is being restored across every function it had lost.
The blind: the powers of sight in a person that could not perceive the inner life, now opened. The lame: the will and moving power that could not carry itself forward, now able to walk. The lepers: the nature spotted with corruption, now made clean. The deaf: the inner ear shut to the higher voice, now unstopped. The dead: the deadened regions of the self, now quickened back to life. The poor: the emptied, destitute part of a person into which the news of its own awakening is spoken.

What have I decided I already understand, and so stopped looking at?
You are not given new eyes, the dust is wiped off the ones you have. The mountain was always there behind the fog.
Can you clear the mirror of all its marks and keep it clear? Clarity is not added to a mirror, it is what a mirror is once the dust is gone.
The heart's natural warmth is not manufactured, it is uncovered as hostility is set down. Compassion feels like something returning, not something achieved.
