Matthew 12:24 Meaning But When the Pharisees Heard It

But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, “This man does not cast out demons, except by Beelzebul, the prince of the demons.”

What does Matthew 12:24 mean?

The Pharisee is the rigid religious mind in a person, the part that clings to outer form and cannot bear a power it did not authorize. When the higher self clears the lower disorders from the body, this literal mind refuses the healing and names it corruption, crediting the work of light to the very darkness it drives out.

The Pharisee is the rigid religious mind in a person, the part that clings to outer form and cannot bear a power it did not authorize. When the higher self clears the lower disorders from the body, this literal mind refuses the healing and names it corruption, crediting the work of light to the very darkness it drives out. It cannot see cleansing because it lives on the surface of the letter.

Beelzebub is the ruling knot of the lower forces, the head of the swarm of small compulsions that trouble a man. To say the clearing is done by that prince is the outer mind's blindness: it mistakes the freeing of the house for the work of the same power that bound it, because it has never known the difference from within.

Pharisees: the rigid literal mind in a person that clings to outer religious form and rejects any power it did not sanction Beelzebub: the ruling head of the lower forces, the chief of the small compulsions that infest and trouble the body

Live Matthew 12:24 today

  1. Today, catch one moment where you feel the quick no rising before you have really heard the thing. Sit with the no a second and ask what in you is defending itself.
  2. When someone tells you about a change in their life, a new habit, a new belief, a new direction, ask them one question about it instead of placing it somewhere in your judgment. Let them describe it from the inside.
  3. When you are the one being doubted, the idea dismissed in the meeting, the effort nobody believes in, do not argue for it. Keep doing the thing. Someone standing outside cannot see from where you are standing, and that is not yours to fix today.

What good thing have you dismissed lately because it did not come from a source you had approved?
