EGO & BEING

Ego v. Being

The kingdom of heaven is like a net cast into the sea, gathering of every kind. Awareness is that net. When you are truly present, you do not reach only for the pleasant and push away the rest. Consciousness receives all of it, every fish, every feeling, every passing state.

The mind wants to sort, to label this good and that bad. But presence holds everything first in the same open space, without resistance. You take in the whole of life as it is, and only from that acceptance does clarity arise about what to keep and what to release.

ESOTERIC

Esoteric

The kingdom within works like a net drawn through the sea, and the sea is the deep unconscious, the churning water of feeling and memory below the surface of the waking mind. The net is the gathering attention of awakened consciousness, lowered into that depth and bringing up every kind at once, the noble and the base, the useful thought and the useless, without first sorting them. Rising awareness does not begin by rejecting; it begins by hauling up the whole contents of the inner sea into the light where they can be seen.

Only when everything has been drawn up can the true be kept and the false let go, so the first movement of the inner kingdom is simply to gather all that lives below into view.

Live Matthew 13:47 today

  1. For ten minutes today, let whatever mood you are in just be there without fixing it. Irritation, flatness, restlessness. Give it room instead of a verdict.
  2. Listen to someone today without deciding whether you agree. Let the whole thing land first. You can sort it out afterward, and you will sort it better.
  3. When an email or a message arrives that you do not like, read it all the way through before your body picks a side. Let it be fully received, then decide what to do.

What have you been pushing away today that you could simply let be here for a while?
