What does Matthew 14:19 mean?

To look up before giving is the whole secret of increase. The mind that would feed others first turns from its own small estimate of what it holds and receives the truth from beyond itself, that its supply is not its own and therefore cannot run out.

To look up before giving is the whole secret of increase. The mind that would feed others first turns from its own small estimate of what it holds and receives the truth from beyond itself, that its supply is not its own and therefore cannot run out. Only then does it break and give, and in the breaking nothing is diminished.

The little that was counted becomes enough for everyone because it passed through hands that no longer believed in scarcity. Love moves from the awakened part of the mind to the parts still learning, and from them outward to every need, and along that whole chain nothing is lost. Abundance is simply what happens when giving is unhooked from fear.

Loaves and fishes: the small store the mind believes is all it has. Heaven: the Source the mind looks to when it stops measuring by its own fear. Disciples: the parts of the mind that carry love from its awakening outward to every need.

The 5 loaves are the 5 senses, the plain bread every person is handed, and the looking up to heaven is the drawing down of power from Uranus, the sky within the skull, into that ordinary bread. When the higher mind blesses the senses and breaks them open, they no longer feed only the flesh; they multiply, and a little spiritual power put into practice becomes enough to fill a crowd. What was common turns to abundance the moment the inner light is turned upon it.

The 2 fishes are the 2 fishes of Pisces, higher and lower consciousness set against each other, aspiration circling above and the restless lower mind below. Blessed alongside the bread, even the divided nature is taken up and shared out as wisdom.

5 loaves: the 5 senses, the common bread each person carries 2 fishes: the paired fishes of Pisces, higher and lower consciousness, aspiration against the circling lower mind Heaven: Uranus, the sky within the skull from which the power is drawn down

Live Matthew 14:19 today

  1. Before your first task today, pause for one breath and let go of your running tally of what you have left in you. Then begin, without first deciding whether you can afford to.
  2. When you help someone today, a coworker, your kid, a friend, do it without a quiet calculation of what it costs you. Just hand it over.
  3. In the hardest hour of your day, when the inbox or the traffic or the pressure has you counting what you have left, look up. Literally, out a window or at the ceiling, and remember that your supply is not something you manufacture.

What would I give today if I stopped keeping score of my own reserves?
