Esoteric

After every earlier messenger of conscience has been turned away, the highest self is sent into the vineyard of the body as a last appeal. The son is the direct offspring of the divine within a person, come in person where prophets and warnings went unheard. To send him last is to set the deepest possibility of the self before the tenants who work the ground, the powers of the flesh that manage the body's fruit.

The hope is that the highest presence, once it appears, will be honored where lesser voices were not. This is the inner drama of a person: the divine center offers itself directly to the working powers of the body, so what could not hear the servants might bow before the son who carries the owner's own life.

Live Matthew 21:37 today

  1. Before the phone comes on tomorrow, sit still for two minutes and let the quietest part of you speak first, before the day's voices get a turn.
  2. With one person today, drop the running commentary in your head and give them your whole attention for a few minutes, as if what is best in you came to the table instead of your usual self.
  3. When you are stretched thin and about to go sharp, pause and ask what the steadiest version of you would do here, then do that one thing.
