Matthew 24:32 · World English Bible
Now from the fig tree learn this parable. When its branch has now become tender, and produces its leaves, you know that the summer is near.
The fig tree is the body itself, the living tree of the human nature whose signs a person learns to read from the inside. When its branch grows tender and puts out leaves, the finer energy is rising and softening the hardened parts, and this budding is the near approach of an inward ripening.

ESOTERIC
The fig tree is the body itself, the living tree of the human nature whose signs a person learns to read from the inside. When its branch grows tender and puts out leaves, the finer energy is rising and softening the hardened parts, and this budding is the near approach of an inward ripening. Summer is the season of fullness within, the warmth in which the higher consciousness comes to fruit. The tender branch tells the being that the change has already begun in the flesh before it is felt above. What religion pushes off to a distant calendar is a growth happening now in the tree of one's own body, read in the softening and the first green.
