Matthew 25:6 Meaning But at Midnight There Was a Cry

But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Behold! The bridegroom is coming! Come out to meet him!’

What does Matthew 25:6 mean?

Midnight is the darkest depth of the sleeping consciousness, the hour when the outer world has gone silent and the inner life is most hidden, and it is precisely there that the summons sounds. The bridegroom is the higher self, the Christ-current in the body, drawing near to be united with the awareness that has kept its lamp trimmed.

Esoteric

Midnight is the darkest depth of the sleeping consciousness, the hour when the outer world has gone silent and the inner life is most hidden, and it is precisely there that the summons sounds. The bridegroom is the higher self, the Christ-current in the body, drawing near to be united with the awareness that has kept its lamp trimmed. The cry rises from within the person, not from any voice in the street: the deep self calls the surface self to wake and come toward it. Going out to meet him is consciousness turning inward and upward to join the presence that has been approaching all along, and the union sought is a marriage inside one being, the ordinary mind wedded to the spirit that inhabits the same flesh.

Midnight: the deepest point of the sleeping mind, the still hour when the outer senses fall quiet and the inner life stands closest to waking. Bridegroom: the higher self within, the spirit that comes to be joined to the awakened awareness as a husband to a bride.

Live Matthew 25:6 today

  1. Find the quietest point in your day, early morning or late night, and sit in it for five minutes with no screen. The quiet is not nothing. Something in you speaks there.
  2. If someone reaches out to you today at an inconvenient hour, go toward them instead of putting it off. The call rarely arrives when it suits you.
  3. In your lowest moment this week, instead of distracting yourself, turn toward it for one minute and ask what it is trying to tell you. The dark hour is often the honest one.

What has been calling me that I keep agreeing to hear tomorrow?
