What does Matthew 28:9 mean?

The meeting comes on the way, not at the end of it. A mind that has turned to give what it received finds love already coming toward it, greeting it before the errand is even done, because the willingness to share is itself the reunion. What is welcomed the instant it is offered was never truly far.

To take hold and to worship is the mind bowing to an innocence it can no longer doubt. The reaching is not desperation but recognition, the natural response of a mind that has stopped defending itself and found, in that surrender, the thing it always wanted.

The feet: the point where the mind takes hold of what is real, the humble contact that trusts and no longer needs to grasp for proof.

  1. Do the small kind thing you have been putting off, the call, the apology, the errand for someone else, and pay attention to how you feel while you are still on the way. The lift often arrives before the task is finished.
  2. Next time you are halfway through helping someone and they thank you mid task, actually let it land instead of brushing it off. Say thank you back and stay in that moment for a second.
  3. In an argument where you have been bracing and building your case, try dropping the defense first. Say the true, undramatic thing, and see what comes toward you once you stop holding the shield.

What might come to meet you if you stopped waiting until you had earned it?
