What the mourning crowd reads as death, the deep, true center recognizes as sleep: a retreat into the hidden depths that the frightened everyday self mistakes for the end. A father's grief is real, and the mourners' weeping carries its own truth.

PSYCHOANALYSIS
What the mourning crowd reads as death, the deep, true center recognizes as sleep: a retreat into the hidden depths that the frightened everyday self mistakes for the end.
A father's grief is real, and the mourners' weeping carries its own truth. Yet the Sleeping Beauty story names this condition exactly: a young woman full of unlived promise sinks into seeming lifelessness because the outer world cannot hold her waking. The crowd's mockery is the everyday self's reflex whenever something deeper announces what ordinary sight cannot confirm. Making room, the only instruction given, is the demand that the crowded house of habit be emptied so that deeper knowing can enter and act.
Psychoanalysis lens
What have I buried that was only sleeping?
He dreamed he was a butterfly and woke unsure which one was awake. What looks like the final state may only be one way of being.
Awakening is not brought in from outside. One's own nature was always bright, and seeing it adds nothing.
Waking, dreaming and deep sleep are all passing states of one awareness. What seems like absence is a different condition, not an end.
