Matthew 9:25 Meaning But When the Crowd Was Put Out
But when the crowd was put out, he entered in, took her by the hand, and the girl arose.

Matthew 9:25 · World English Bible
But when the crowd was put out, he entered in, took her by the hand, and the girl arose.
Asleep at death's doorway, the girl lives out the same old story as the maiden sealed in glass, the inner life caught in a death-sleep that no effort from within can end. Sending the mourning crowd away strips off the collective noise that hides the deeper event: a step toward becoming whole.

PSYCHOANALYSIS
Asleep at death's doorway, the girl lives out the same old story as the maiden sealed in glass, the inner life caught in a death-sleep that no effort from within can end.
Sending the mourning crowd away strips off the collective noise that hides the deeper event: a step toward becoming whole. The deep, true center, crossing the threshold alone, reaches into the depths and restores the link with a simple touch of a hand. The waking mind does not haul itself upward. A child's awareness rises out of the ancient dark through meeting a wholeness greater than the everyday self could ever make on its own. The girl's hand in his is that link closed.
Psychoanalysis lens
Where have I been straining to lift myself when I really needed a hand?
Return to stillness and things find their own root. You do not haul yourself back to life, you stop interfering and life returns.
The flower does not lift itself out of the dark water. It rises because of what it is growing from.
The reed cries because it was cut from the reed bed. The music is not something it manufactures, it comes from the connection it is reaching back toward.
