A decision that ends in agreement dies; a decision that ends in work becomes the belief a person lives from.
Hearing of God's favor sets an emotion, and an emotion left unspent decays within the hour. Hands that move while it is hot turn feeling into a state, the state into certainty that opposition can be outlasted, and that certainty into tomorrow's labour, until a crew that borrowed its confidence from one man's account is generating its own.
The window between a decision and the first act is where most lives leak. A crowd that agrees and then leaves the site of the decision without touching the work wakes with the fear it came in with, because nothing in its body has yet argued against that fear. Waiting costs a person the state they decided in, and that state has to be built again from scratch before the first stone moves.
