The completion of a vow of inner separation is enacted in the body itself. The priest is the discriminating faculty that handles what is holy, placing strength and pure substance into a person's own hands. The ram's shoulder is the seat of will and bearing power, cooked and made ready, while the unleavened cake and wafer are unmixed, unpuffed spirit, nourishment with no fermenting ego swelling it. The shaven hair is the letting go of the outward mark of the vow once its inner work is done.
Strength and unleavened bread laid on the hands mean the disciplined self now carries its own consecrated power, the growth of separation gathered back into the person who lived it.
Ram: the force of will and bearing strength in the body, the pushing power set apart and made ready
Unleavened cake: pure spirit substance with no swelling of ego, nourishment kept from the ferment of pride
Hair: the outward growth and mark of a vow, the visible sign of separation released once its inner work is finished
