Proverbs 1:21 · World English Bible
She calls at the head of noisy places. At the entrance of the city gates, she utters her words:
The voice of truth is never faint and never far. It sounds exactly where the mind is busiest choosing, at the crowded crossing of a thousand small decisions and at the threshold where each thought is welcomed or turned away.

The same verse, read by one tradition.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
The voice of truth is never faint and never far. It sounds exactly where the mind is busiest choosing, at the crowded crossing of a thousand small decisions and at the threshold where each thought is welcomed or turned away. Love does not wait in some quiet elsewhere for a mind grown still. It speaks in the loudest traffic of the day and offers another way to see.
A mind can hear it there or nowhere, for there is no calmer place to find it. The call is loud because it meets the mind right where the choice between fear and love is made.
Gates: the threshold where the mind sits in judgment, the place where each thought is met and a decision made about what to admit and what to refuse City: the crowded inner life of the mind, the busy traffic of thoughts and choices where truth must be heard if it is heard at all
Christian Psychology lens
Which decision have you been putting off until things get quieter?
Market and mountain are the same practice. A mind that needs quiet to be clear is not yet clear.
Krishna speaks to Arjuna in the middle of the battlefield, not after it. The teaching arrives where the choosing is happening.
You keep waiting for a retreat. You have one, anytime, in yourself, and it works just as well in the crowd.
