CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

The fearful mind wants the trap, longing for the very schemes that will catch it, because guilt secretly seeks its own capture and calls the snare a prize. It reaches for what will bind it and mistakes the binding for gain. The loving mind does not reach at all. It rests in a hidden source and lets what is good rise out of it without grasping.

One way strains after a catch that closes on the one who set it. The other draws life from below the surface, unseen, and simply bears. A mind rooted in love does not have to seize anything, because it is already fed from within.

Net: the trap the fearful mind secretly desires, the scheme of capture that guilt reaches for and mistakes for reward Root: the hidden loving source beneath awareness, the unseen ground from which a peaceful mind quietly bears its good Fruit: what naturally issues from a mind rooted in love, the outcome that appears without grasping or effort

Live Proverbs 12:12 today

  1. Catch one grab today, refreshing for a reply, checking a number, rereading a sent message, and let your hand come off it. Set a timer for an hour and let the thing exist without your watching.
  2. Help someone with no plan for it to come back to you. Send the useful link, make the introduction, cover the small cost, and then genuinely drop the ledger.
  3. When a chance appears that would mean someone else loses, slow down and ask what it would actually cost you to take it. Some openings are traps wearing a bow, and you can walk past them.

What am I reaching for that would close on me if I caught it?

Dhammapada

Grasping is the hook, and the one who bites it is the one who gets caught. Craving sets the trap and then walks into it.

Tao Te Ching 8

Water does not compete for a place. It settles low and nourishes everything, and that is exactly why nothing can take its strength away.

Bhagavad Gita 2

Do what is yours to do and release your grip on how it turns out. The one who acts without clutching at the result stays free in the acting.
