Proverbs 12:5 Meaning The Thoughts of the Righteous Are Just
The thoughts of the righteous are just, but the advice of the wicked is deceitful.

Proverbs 12:5 · World English Bible
The thoughts of the righteous are just, but the advice of the wicked is deceitful.
A mind that has chosen love thinks truly, because its thoughts flow from what is real and carry no hidden fear. There is nothing to untangle in them, for they mean exactly what they are, and a mind at peace has no reason to disguise itself from itself.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
A mind that has chosen love thinks truly, because its thoughts flow from what is real and carry no hidden fear. There is nothing to untangle in them, for they mean exactly what they are, and a mind at peace has no reason to disguise itself from itself.
The ego's counsel is always deceit, not because it lies about facts but because it teaches a mind to fear where there is nothing to fear. Every plan the ego offers rests on the belief in separation, and so it advises the mind toward defense and attack while calling this wisdom. The correction is to see that only love's thought is honest, and a mind guided by it no longer needs to guard against a threat that was never there.

ESOTERIC
The thoughts of the righteous run true because righteousness is the right hemisphere of the brain, the seat of Christ consciousness, where perception arrives whole and unbent. The wicked are the lower, carnal mind, and its counsels are deceit because that mind exists to pull a person back into thinking, away from the still center. This is the old contest of Jacob and Esau played inside one head: the lower mind tricks the spirit into gambling away its divine inheritance for the quick appetite of the moment.
Right thinking is simply the higher hemisphere left clear. Deceit is the carnal mind talking a person out of that clarity, one plausible thought at a time.
Wicked: the lower, carnal mind whose counsel is deceit because it exists to pull a person back into thought
Christian Psychology lens
What have I been calling caution that is really just fear making plans?
A still pond shows you the moon exactly as it is. Stir it and you see only ripples, then you make your plans based on ripples.
The mind that is always calculating cannot see straight, because it is busy arranging what it sees. Drop the calculation and things show you their own shape.
Tell yourself the plain truth about what is actually happening, stripped of the story you have wrapped around it. Most of our fear lives in the wrapping, not the thing.
