Proverbs 13:11 Meaning Wealth Gained Dishonestly Dwindles Away
Wealth gained dishonestly dwindles away, but he who gathers by hand makes it grow.

Proverbs 13:11 · World English Bible
Wealth gained dishonestly dwindles away, but he who gathers by hand makes it grow.
What the mind builds on the belief in separation cannot hold, for it was never real to begin with, and every treasure the ego heaps up drains away the moment it is grasped, since guilt spends faster than fear can hoard. But the peace gathered slowly, one honest choice for love at a time, grows richer the more it is given away.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
What the mind builds on the belief in separation cannot hold, for it was never real to begin with, and every treasure the ego heaps up drains away the moment it is grasped, since guilt spends faster than fear can hoard. But the peace gathered slowly, one honest choice for love at a time, grows richer the more it is given away. The ego promises abundance and delivers emptiness; the miracle asks patience and quietly increases what it touches.
A mind that seeks to seem worthy will always find its supply diminishing, because appearance feeds on itself and starves. The mind that labors instead at forgiveness, extending innocence rather than clutching for proof of value, discovers that what is shared is what remains. Value is not stored; it is multiplied only when it is released to another.
Wealth: what the mind believes it possesses, the store of proof it hoards to feel real apart from love. Labour: the daily practice of choosing love over fear, the patient extension of forgiveness that increases as it is given.

SELF-HELP
Money that arrives faster than the person does will leave at exactly the speed it came.
A windfall taken by fraud never builds the person who could hold it, and that person is the link everything else hangs from: what a man believes he is capable of producing sets his state, the state sets what he feels with cash in his hand, and the feeling drives whether he spends it or puts it to work.
Gathering by hand is slow on purpose. Every small deposit rehearses the belief that increase answers to effort, and a man who has rehearsed that a thousand times cannot be argued out of it by one bad quarter. The shortcut costs him more than the money it loses; he reaches the number without ever becoming the kind of person who generates it, and holding it was always that person's job.

Which part of my day is building something real, and which part is just arranging how I look?
The more you pile up, the more you fear losing. Knowing when you have enough is the only wealth that cannot be taken.
Craving is a thirst that drinking never ends, because the wanting is the thing being fed. Generosity breaks the circle in a way getting more never can.
What you give away is the only part you truly keep. The hand that stays closed holds nothing but itself.
