Proverbs 16:15 Meaning In the Light of the King’s Face
In the light of the king’s face is life. His favor is like a cloud of the spring rain.

Proverbs 16:15 · World English Bible
In the light of the king’s face is life. His favor is like a cloud of the spring rain.
When the ruling part of a mind turns toward love, its whole inner world brightens as under a kind face, and everything the mind looks upon seems to live. This light is not granted by fortune; it is the mind's own peace shining back at it, the gentle regard it has chosen finally reflected in all it sees.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
When the ruling part of a mind turns toward love, its whole inner world brightens as under a kind face, and everything the mind looks upon seems to live. This light is not granted by fortune; it is the mind's own peace shining back at it, the gentle regard it has chosen finally reflected in all it sees. A mind lit from within finds a world made gracious.
And such favor falls like the late rain that ends a drought, quiet and reviving after the ego's long dryness. What had felt barren greens again, not because the world changed but because the mind stopped withholding its blessing. A mind receives life in the measure that it looks with love, and the looking is the whole of the gift.
King: the ruling part of a mind whose regard colors all it sees, casting its own peace or fear across the world. Countenance: the face a mind turns on the world, the look of love or judgment that becomes the light it lives in. Latter rain: the late reviving grace, the mercy that greens a mind's long drought once it chooses to bless.
Christian Psychology lens
What would today look like if I decided, in advance, to look kindly at everyone in it?
The sage is good to the good and also good to the not good, and so goodness is what comes back. The regard you offer becomes the world you live in.
He said that what you seek is seeking you, and that the eye you look with decides what appears. A kind gaze finds a kinder world.
The practice of loving kindness begins with wishing one person well and widens until no one is left out. The warmth is felt first by the one offering it.
