For the upright will dwell in the land. The perfect will remain in it.

What does Proverbs 2:21 mean?

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

The promise here is not of property secured or of survival earned by conduct. To dwell in the land is to abide in the settled awareness of one's own wholeness, and a mind cannot be evicted from what it truly is. What stands upright is a mind that has stopped bending itself around guilt, and what is perfect is simply a mind seen as its Creator sees it, with nothing added and nothing lacking.

Such a mind remains because there is nothing in it to leave. It has ceased projecting a self that could be lost, and so it rests in the one place it never departed from.

The land: the abiding awareness of wholeness a mind rests in, the home of a self that cannot be lost because it was never a thing apart

  3. In a meeting where you feel measured, sit back and let your shoulders drop. Whatever is decided there, nothing that is actually you is up for a vote.
