CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

Truth is not manufactured by a mind; it is received. The wisdom a seeker finds was never his own invention but a gift, already complete, waiting only to be accepted. The ego strains to build understanding out of its fear; the quiet Voice simply gives it, whole, to any mind that will grow still enough to take it.

The mouth of God is the ceaseless communication of love, never withheld and never earned. Knowledge comes from there because it comes from the mind's Source, the part of it that never left home. A mind does not achieve understanding; it stops refusing what is endlessly offered.

Mouth: the constant giving of the Source, the channel through which love communicates truth to a mind that will listen.

Live Proverbs 2:6 today

  1. The next time you are stuck on a decision, stop working the problem for ten minutes. Put the phone face down, stare out a window, and let the answer come to you instead of hunting it.
  2. In a conversation today, listen all the way to the end without building your reply underneath. You will hear something you would have talked right over.
  3. In the meeting where you feel pressure to have something smart to say, let a silence sit. Something better usually shows up than what you were about to force.

How much of your effort today was really just refusing to receive?

Tao Te Ching 48

The way forward is by subtraction, not addition. Stop pushing and the answer arrives on its own, the way water finds its level when you stop stirring it.

Zen

A cup that is already full cannot be poured into. Emptying is the whole work; the tea was always waiting.

You are not the author of what is true, only its student. Clear seeing comes to the one who stops insisting on his own version.
