Proverbs 22:12 Meaning Yahweh’s Eyes Watch Over Knowledge

Yahweh’s eyes watch over knowledge; but he frustrates the words of the unfaithful.

What does Proverbs 22:12 mean?

The eyes that preserve knowledge are the vision of love kept safe within the mind, the sight that holds what is true no matter how loudly fear argues against it. This deeper seeing cannot be lost, because it does not depend on the body's eyes or the world's evidence.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

The eyes that preserve knowledge are the vision of love kept safe within the mind, the sight that holds what is true no matter how loudly fear argues against it. This deeper seeing cannot be lost, because it does not depend on the body's eyes or the world's evidence. It simply remains, waiting beneath every illusion for the mind to turn to it again. The words of the transgressor are the ego's claims, the whole case for separation and attack, and they are overthrown not by being fought but by being seen for the nothing they are.

So truth is never in danger. It keeps itself, and the mind's task is only to prefer it. When a thought of accusation is looked upon by that steady vision, it collapses on its own, having no reality to stand on.

Live Proverbs 22:12 today

  1. When a harsh thought about yourself shows up today, do not argue with it and do not agree with it. Just hold it in plain view for ten seconds and see whether it can keep standing.
  2. If someone says something about another person that puts them in a bad light, hear it without picking it up. You can let a claim pass through you without storing it.
  3. In a meeting or a tense message thread, when the accusing voice gets loud inside you, remember that what is true will still be true in an hour. You can wait for the noise to settle before you speak.

What would stay true about you even if the loudest thought in your head today turned out to be wrong?

Return to the still root and you see clearly. The surface churns and the forms rise and fall, but what is constant was never harmed by the churning.

The mind freed of ill will sees things as they are. Hatred and accusation are not defeated by argument but by being understood, and understanding dissolves them.

The ruling part of you can stay clear no matter what opinions swirl around it. Look straight at a frightening judgment and it loses most of its force, because the force was yours, loaned to it.
