Proverbs 30:5 · World English Bible
Every word of God is flawless. He is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
The word of God is called pure because it carries no fear, and only what is free of fear can be wholly trusted. The mind that leans on this word is not defended against real enemies, for there are none.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
The word of God is called pure because it carries no fear, and only what is free of fear can be wholly trusted. The mind that leans on this word is not defended against real enemies, for there are none. It is shielded from the belief in threat itself. When a mind rests its trust in love, the imagined attackers dissolve, because they were only its own guilt seen outside.
Protection here is not armor against a dangerous world. It is the safety of a mind that has stopped fearing, held by a truth that never spoke of harm.
Word of God: the communication of love, wholly free of fear, the one thought that can be fully believed Shield: not defense against real danger but release from the belief in danger, the calm of a mind that trusts Them that trust in him: minds that have chosen love as their teacher and so no longer see enemies to guard against

MANIFESTATION
Every word of God is pure because Scripture is not history but a riddle about a Father and a Son unfolding inside the soul. Taken for facts it stays sealed. Taken as one's own biography it opens. The characters are eternal states in you, not people who lived and died. The purity is that the story means one thing: your own godhood dawning by stages, until the son called David names you Father.
The shield covers those who trust this unfolding rather than their own effort or merit. It is God's work in a person, never a wage earned by rules. The outer world only acts out what the inner Father has imagined, so nothing done outside can wound the one who rests in that. To trust it is to be guarded by it. You are the God the story was written about, and one day you will know it.
Christian Psychology lens
What am I guarding against that has never actually come through the door?
Soft water wears down stone, and what yields is never broken. Real safety is not hardness, it is the absence of anything to defend.
A mind soaked in goodwill finds no foothold for fear, because it has stopped manufacturing enemies. The protection is the kindness itself.
We suffer more in imagination than in reality, and most of our fears describe things that never arrive. Set down the rehearsal and most of the danger goes with it.
