CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

To add to the word of God is what the ego always does, weaving fear into love and calling the mixture truth. Every private reading that inserts guilt, judgment, or threat is such an addition, and it makes a liar of the mind because it hides what love plainly said. The correction is not punishment but recognition, seeing that the fearful additions were never real, so they can simply be dropped.

The mind stays honest by receiving love as it is, adding nothing of its own fear, letting the pure word stand.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

His words are the plan already unfolding within you, the meaning God is speaking as your own life, and to add to them is to overlay that unfolding with your own anxious commentary. The plan moves by grace, not by anything earned through effort or moral bookkeeping, and every addition is a claim of lack laid on top of a completed thing. To insist on your own version is to argue against what is already given.

Being found a liar is simply this contradiction made plain. When you add to the word by holding a state opposite to the one promised, the outer world enacts your addition and exposes it as false to your desire. The inner Father has already imagined the end; the addition only delays its showing. What unfolds in you is his work, and resting in it, rather than amending it, lets the given thing appear.

Live Proverbs 30:6 today

  1. When a short message arrives today and you start reading a tone into it, stop and reread only the words. The threat you added was yours.
  2. When someone tells you something hard, let the kindness you offer stay simple instead of adding advice, warnings, or a story of your own.
  3. Under stress, say what you mean in one plain sentence and then stop. The extra justification you want to tack on is usually fear asking for insurance.

What have I been adding to a plain thing, and what would be left if I stopped?
