Proverbs 8:36 Meaning But He Who Sins Against Me Wrongs

But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul. All those who hate me love death.

What does Proverbs 8:36 mean?

Every attack thrown outward lands first upon the one who throws it. To turn from love is not to injure love, which cannot be touched, but to wound the mind that turns, because it must first believe in its own guilt before it can imagine an enemy to fight.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

Every attack thrown outward lands first upon the one who throws it. To turn from love is not to injure love, which cannot be touched, but to wound the mind that turns, because it must first believe in its own guilt before it can imagine an enemy to fight. The seeming assault on another is always the mind attacking the innocence it fears to claim in itself.

What looks like the love of death is only the ego's loyalty to separation, the strange comfort of a self that would rather be right about its own smallness than let the belief in it dissolve. No one truly wants death. The mind mistakes it for safety only because it has forgotten it is already alive.

Whose fault am I holding onto because being right feels safer than letting it go?
