Ego v. Being

The mind wants to seize the divine and hold it up to the light, to name it and know it as it knows an object. But what you are seeking does not live in the bright world of forms and definitions. It dwells in darkness, in the secret place where thought cannot follow.

This darkness is not absence. It is the formless depth beneath all appearance, the stillness no concept can illuminate. When you stop reaching for it with the mind and grow still, you meet it directly. You cannot see the source of your own awareness the way you see a thing, yet it is always here, present beneath everything you experience.

ESOTERIC

Esoteric

The hidden God is not absent in the dark; the dark is the very veil the higher Self draws around itself. Darkness here is the unlit depth of a person, the unknowing that surrounds the inmost light before awareness reaches it. The waters are the emotional and mental fluids of the body, the thick clouds the dense thoughts that gather at the threshold of the sacred. Spirit dwells behind all of it, curtained in the deep. The center of a person is reached only by passing through the cloud, through what feels like blindness, to the light that has been waiting inside the dark all along.

Live Psalms 18:11 today

  1. Try ten minutes today with nothing coming in, no podcast, no feed, no music. The emptiness will feel like nothing is happening, and that is exactly where something is.
  2. When someone asks you a real question and you do not know, say I do not know instead of filling the space. Let the not knowing sit there between you without rushing to cover it.
  3. When a problem will not resolve and you have been turning it over all day, stop thinking about it on purpose for five minutes. Walk, breathe, let it go dark, and see what arrives when you stop pushing.

What are you trying to understand that might only be met by growing quiet?
