The wine is the divine love at full strength, undiluted, and the one who has spent his life in the craving to accumulate must drink it neat with nothing to soften it. The wrath is no punishment sent down. It is love met without any answering love in oneself, and that bare exposure is the torment. Fire is spirit, the photon, and it burns because the lower nature has no likeness to it.
The brimstone is the sulphur of that base nature, smoking against the pure light in the presence of the Lamb, the pineal gland. So the accumulating self faces full love inside its own head and finds it unbearable, which is simply life lived absent from love.
Wine: the divine love poured out at full spiritual strength, no dilution
Fire: spirit, the photon, the pure energy of the higher life
Brimstone: the sulphur of the lower nature, smoking where it meets the light
Lamb: the pineal gland, the seat of the light in the head
