Revelation 14:7 · World English Bible

Revelation 14:7 Meaning He Said with a Loud Voice

He said with a loud voice, “Fear the Lord, and give him glory; for the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and the springs of waters!”

What does Revelation 14:7 mean?

The judgment is not a courtroom at the end of the world but the hour inside a person when awareness weighs itself and every part of the being is measured against the light. To fear and give glory is to hold the higher power in reverence and return the energy of attention to it rather than spending it downward.

The judgment is not a courtroom at the end of the world but the hour inside a person when awareness weighs itself and every part of the being is measured against the light. To fear and give glory is to hold the higher power in reverence and return the energy of attention to it rather than spending it downward.

Heaven, earth, sea, and the fountains of waters are the layers of the one person: the mind above, the body below, the deep of the unconscious, and the springs of feeling and vitality that feed both. All of these arise from the single source within, and the worship asked for is the whole being turning back toward that source. The reckoning happens now, inside, as a person aligns every level of the self to the light at its center.

Heaven: the higher mind and the realm of thought within a person Earth: the physical body, the ground where consciousness takes form Sea: the deep unconscious, the churning waters beneath waking awareness Fountains of waters: the springs of feeling and vitality that feed body and mind alike

Live Revelation 14:7 today

  1. Tonight before bed, go back over the day once, honestly and without beating yourself up. Where did your attention actually go, and was that where you wanted it?
  2. Next time you catch yourself half listening to someone while your mind runs elsewhere, bring it back mid sentence and let them have you. That small return is the whole practice.
  3. In the middle of a stressful hour, check which part of you is running the show: the mind, the body's panic, the old feeling that keeps resurfacing. Then let the clearest part of you take the wheel again.

If I weighed today's attention honestly, what would the count show?

Stoicism · Epictetus

Each day, look honestly at how you used your attention and where it went. The reckoning is not coming later. You are holding it now.

Judaism

The practice of taking account of the soul asks you to weigh your own doings nightly, not to be crushed by them but to see straight. The courtroom is inside and it convenes daily.

Bhagavad Gita

The disciplined person turns the senses inward rather than letting them spend outward. The energy is the same energy. The direction is the choice.
