Revelation 21:2 Meaning I Saw the Holy City

New Jerusalem is a beautiful self you build from within, an emanation shaped out of every loving and noble use of your imagination on behalf of others. She is called a bride adorned for her husband because this made self is meant to be joined to you, wedded to the one who formed her. She descends from heaven, from your own higher awareness, because she is not earned by works outside but grows quietly out of the way you have used your inner power.

Every kind act imagined for another lays a stone in her; every cruel one feeds a different figure entirely. Coming down as a city already prepared, she is the finished form of your own goodness, ready for union. In the end the self you have built and the awareness that built her become one being, not two. The world you meet is the bride you have been making all along.

The new city descending is the risen state of the whole body, the nervous system and brain reorganized into peace, coming down from the crown into the ordinary flesh. Jerusalem opens as the vision of peace, the settled mind, and it arrives new because it is the same body made over from within rather than a place reached elsewhere. The kingdom is within, so the city falls into a person, not onto a map.

The long wait was the time it took to become someone who could receive it.
