Ego v. Being

The moment attention drops out of the restless mind and into pure presence, everything is seen differently. The seat set in heaven is the still center within you, the awareness that watches every passing thought without being disturbed by any of them. It was always there, waiting beneath the surface of your thinking.

What sits enthroned is not a distant figure but the deep I Am, the consciousness that remains constant while forms come and go. When the noise subsides, you recognize this quiet presence as the ground of who you are. Being in the spirit simply means resting there, and from that stillness the whole of life is beheld.

ESOTERIC

Esoteric

Heaven is the head, the high chamber of consciousness inside a person, and the throne set there is the seat of governing awareness at the crown, the place from which the whole being is ruled. The one seated is the divine Self taking its rightful position, no longer wandering through the lower rooms of appetite but installed at the top where dominion belongs. To be in the spirit is the shift of attention up out of the senses into that inner heaven, and the vision opens only once that ascent has happened.

The reading is the moment a person's true center occupies its throne. When awareness lifts into the head and the higher Self sits down to govern, the ruler of one's life is present and enthroned within, not sought somewhere above the sky.

Heaven: the head, the high chamber of consciousness within a person. The throne: the seat of governing awareness at the crown, from which the whole being is ruled. The one seated: the divine Self taking its rightful place of dominion at the top of a person.

Live Revelation 4:2 today

  1. Sit for two minutes somewhere ordinary, the car before you drive off, the edge of the bed, and let your thoughts come without following them. Just be the one who sees them arrive.
  2. In a tense moment with someone close to you, watch your own reaction rise before you speak it. There is a part of you that is calm even while the rest of you is not.
  3. In a meeting that frustrates you, stop defending your position for a minute and simply be aware of yourself sitting in that chair. The pressure stays, but it loses its grip on you.

When your thoughts quiet down for a second, who is still here?

Two birds sit on one branch. One eats the fruit, the other simply watches. The watcher is what you actually are.

Tao Te Ching 16

Return to stillness and you see clearly. Things rise and fall, but the quiet root they come from does not move.

Zen

Thoughts cross the sky like clouds. You are not the weather, you are the sky it happens in.
