Revelation 5:7 · World English Bible

Revelation 5:7 Meaning Then He Came

Then he came, and he took it out of the right hand of him who sat on the throne.

What does Revelation 5:7 mean?

Taking the book from the right hand is the awakened center drawing the record of life out of the outgoing energy of the higher mind, for the right side is the hand from which force flows outward. The one seated on the throne is human consciousness lifted to its height, holding the coded account until the risen faculty comes to receive it.

Taking the book from the right hand is the awakened center drawing the record of life out of the outgoing energy of the higher mind, for the right side is the hand from which force flows outward. The one seated on the throne is human consciousness lifted to its height, holding the coded account until the risen faculty comes to receive it.

The throne is not a seat in the sky but the elevation of awareness within, the summit a person reaches inwardly. The record of the flesh passes from the higher mind's own hand into the center able to open it, so what was sealed becomes readable from within.

Book: the book of life, the coded record of a person written in the flesh Right hand: the right hemisphere, the side from which energy flows outward Throne: the height of human consciousness, awareness lifted to its summit within

Live Revelation 5:7 today

  1. Write down one thing about yourself that you have long suspected but never fully admitted. Taking it into your own hands is different from thinking about it; let the words be plain.
  2. Accept something today without deflecting it, a compliment, an offer of help, a thank you. Say thank you back and let it land, without the joke that usually follows.
  3. When you make a call under pressure, say it clearly as your decision instead of hiding it behind the process or what someone else wanted. Owning it costs more and settles faster.

What is already mine to take up, that I keep leaving in someone else's hands?

Hinduism · Upanishads

The teaching says the knower and the known meet in the same self; there are not two. What is handed over is finally received by what it came from.

Zen

The moon is reflected in the water, and no moon leaves the sky. Receiving does not take anything from the giver.

Stoicism · Epictetus

Epictetus taught that your judgments and your inner life are the one thing truly handed to your keeping. What belongs to you is yours to take up and use.
